CLINICAL SERVICES PLANning

RPA Clinical services plan

A Clinical Services Plan (CSP) considers the health service needs of the community now and in the future and uses information to set the strategic direction and priorities for the service. It also considers the hospital’s role in the broader network, specifically in relation to other hospitals and facilities in the District.

The CSP is the critical first step in planning health services and informs other types of planning including models of care and infrastructure.

In 2019, the RPA CSP was developed by Sydney Local Health District following extensive consultation with RPA departments and services, staff, clinicians and stakeholders.

The CSP forecasts future health needs to 2031 and identifies the critical priorities to be addressed by the RPA Redevelopment to provide increased capacity to meet the projected future demand for services.
